Lynn Hall

Lynn Hall seems to be part of the growing hillside outside of Port Allegany only 20 feet from one of historic Route 6's many curves. Built in 1934 by Walter J. Hall this is a gem of Western Pennsylvania architecture that seems to be growing back until the hillside due to decades of absence. Walter J. Hall was also the contractor at Fallingwater which makes this an even more interesting part of history. I will hopefully have more on this house in the upcoming weeks as I get more of my research together. Big thanks to Rhonda Hall for her hospitality and stories last weekend. Follow the link in the title for more pictures.

HDR_fun

Downloaded some new software and just beginning to mess around with some photos.  Loving the first few, it was also my first trip down to the metro park near to my new house....also loving that....definitely feels like a little piece of home (Allegheny National Forest) and that's always a good thing.  Check them out and enjoy.

back to school.....?

With this crap economy it is impossible to find a decent job, especially in the field of Architecture. I'm going to be applying to the Masters of Art History program at Kent State this week, and will be focusing on the Italian Renaissance. It is something I have thought about for a few years now and believe it is the perfect time to go back to school, hopefully by the time I finish the economy will be BOOMING. Crossing my fingers I get accepted....... : /
